Please put site suggestions on WikiSuggestions.
Hi gang. I'm sorry that I'm so rarely around these days, but I'm glad to see that you're still here. Looks like recently we ran into the old UseModWiki problem where it gets confused about permissions in its page database. That should be fixed now, and I've once again set up the cron job to run action=maintain nightly. Spam is evidently an issue; the best solution I can offer is simply to delete, recreate and lock the robot targets for the time being. If there's anything urgent, please email me - address is available at the URL above - as otherwise I might not see it for quite some time.
I'm aware that the SisterSites mechanism has been out of commission for a while; I have it on my list of things to attend to eventually.
Best,
Earle.
Oh poop. I managed to hose something and had to restore some files from an old backup; looks like I got the way old one that had a hardcoded pixel size. Sorry! How's it now? -- Earle
Now the font sizes are really loony. The first "paragraph" on a page and the first para after each horizontal bar are normal size. Subsequent paragraphs are small. I'm baffled. Maybe you have a "p p" selector somewhere? -- Eliz
Weird, no: http://grault.net/adjunct/wiki.css . Can I ask what browser/OS you're using? If you're not on a Mac there's a fair chance I can try debugging it using the same software. -- Earle
Bah! It's quirks mode browser weirdness because UseModWiki doesn't close its p's! The ickiness shows up in Firefox 1.5 and MSIE 5.2, but not Safari 1.0 (I'm on a Mac). Instead of using em or % for font sizes, use medium (small, large, etc.). That should do the trick.
It occurs to me that you could set the font to small, if you like, and I can use my Stylish add-on to tweak the size for my Firefox viewing comfort (duh).
