Heh. Actually, and I talk a lot more about political weirdness of this age - systems thinking about plurality voting effects, power imbalances, and the like. Edison is more fascinated with the strange and sometimes nonsensical things we do with technology these days, and I usually get caught up in explaining the finer points of the modern combustion engine or how silicone doping works, or why we are so driven to use technology to build these strange oppressive concrete structures, then use technology to pump artificial sunlight and air into them in order to make them tolerable.
I have to admit that George's teeth freak me out too much to have a decent conversation.
! (I'm decidedly more pragmatic a developer than I am with subject matter here.)
